Titan's Big 4


Triple layer meatloaf cake with pumpkin frosting.




















Titan turns 4 on 7 Oct! The human made him a triple layer meatloaf cake stuffed with finely diced carrots and apples. Packed with proteins and nutrients, it is then finished off with pure pumpkin puree as 'frosting'. Quite laborious to make, especially the god damn flag which is inedible and totally optional. Love your dogs, feed them well because they are the only lives on earth that love you more than they love themselves.



The recipe is adapted from Mandy of Lady and Pups. I omitted the garlic and shallot and substituted the mashed potato with roasted pumpkin puree for the frosting. To make the pumpkin puree, I halved a whole pumpkin, wrapped each half in foil and popped it into the oven at 175 deg C and roasted it for 1 hr 15 min till soft. Scrap the meat out and blend it using the paddle attachment of your mixer till smooth. Let it cool and pop it into the fridge overnight to allow it to thicken slightly.

The frosting will not be super smooth due to the pumpkin fibers. But nothing
some toasted oatmeal cannot hide.
